Terms of Service
These terms are a contract between you, the business that uses Miruto (“you”, the “Merchant”), and random forest OÜ (“Miruto”, “we”). They apply when you install the Miruto plugin, connect a store to the Miruto console or use any part of the service. Miruto is a business service: by using it you confirm that you act for a business and not as a consumer.
1. The service
Miruto has two parts:
- The Miruto plugin for WordPress and WooCommerce. It records cart and checkout sessions in your own WordPress database, shows reports, finds errors and can install fixes you approve. The plugin is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later.
- The Miruto console (console.miruto.app). When you connect a store, the console receives abandoned carts and checkouts, and its AI agent writes to shoppers on your behalf through the channels you switch on. The console also prepares AI fix suggestions for errors, sends notifications and shows results.
Features marked beta, preview or “free during beta” may change or be removed. We tell you before a beta feature becomes paid.
2. Account and access
You connect a store from the plugin with one click while signed in to WordPress, or with a site key we give you. The WordPress user who connects becomes the owner of the Miruto account. You are responsible for everyone you give access to, for keeping WordPress admin accounts secure and for telling us at once if you think someone has misused your account.
You can sign in to the console from WordPress or with a one-time email link. Links work once and expire after 15 minutes.
3. Your responsibilities
You are the controller of your shoppers’ personal data and you decide whether and how Miruto contacts them. You agree to:
- have a lawful basis for every message, for example the shopper’s consent or the rule for existing customers in § 103¹ of the Estonian Electronic Communications Act and the equivalent law in the shopper’s country;
- tell shoppers in your privacy notice that you use Miruto to remind them about unfinished orders, and which channels you use;
- follow our Acceptable Use and Messaging Policy and the rules of each channel, such as the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy;
- keep the facts, prices, discounts and policies you give the agent (the Playbook and the plugin settings) correct and up to date;
- keep backups of your website. The plugin and the AI fixer are designed to be safe, but you are responsible for your site.
4. The AI agent
The agent writes short messages using only your store’s data: the cart, your products, your policies, your Playbook and the conversation itself. It cannot use data from other stores. It follows the limits you set: when it may write (quiet hours, number of messages), whether it may offer a discount and how large, and which topics go to a person.
Every message ends the conversation if the shopper says STOP or asks not to be contacted, in any words. Opt-outs are kept on a suppression list so the same number is not contacted again by your store.
AI output can be wrong. The agent is limited by guard rules, but you should review conversations, especially at the start. You can take over any conversation and reply yourself. Discounts the agent offers are created as WooCommerce coupons within your limits; you are bound by coupons created within the limits you set.
5. Error monitor and AI fixer
When you ask Miruto to fix an error, the plugin sends the error, a short excerpt of the related code and technical details (WordPress, WooCommerce and PHP versions, theme and active plugins) to the console. It does not send shopper data.
A suggested code fix is installed only when you click Apply. It is added as a separate file in wp-content/mu-plugins; Miruto does not edit theme or plugin files. The plugin checks the home, shop, cart and checkout pages before and after, removes the fix automatically if a page breaks, and you can undo any fix with one click.
Fix suggestions are provided as they are. Test them, keep backups and ask your developer when the suggestion says the fix needs a developer.
6. Fees
The plugin’s reports and the error monitor are free. During the beta, the AI agent and the AI fixer are free. Paid plans will be shown in the console with their price before they apply to you, and we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before you are charged. If a plan is based on recovered orders, an order counts as recovered when it is paid after a Miruto message and is linked to that conversation by the restore link, cart reference or coupon.
Prices exclude VAT. Invoices are issued by random forest OÜ. Unpaid invoices may lead to suspension after a written reminder.
7. Data protection
For shoppers’ personal data, you are the controller and Miruto is your processor. Our Data Processing Agreement is part of these terms and applies automatically. The list of companies that help us run the service is on the Sub-processors page. How we handle data for which we are the controller (for example your account and our website) is described in the Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual property
The plugin is free software under GPL-2.0-or-later. The console, the agent, our prompts, models, designs and the Miruto name and logo belong to us. You keep all rights to your store data and content. You give us the right to use them only to provide and improve the service for you. We may use aggregated, anonymous statistics (for example which message strategy gets more replies) to improve the agent for all stores; these statistics never contain personal data or identify your store.
9. Availability and support
We work to keep the service running, but during the beta we do not promise a specific uptime. If the console is unreachable, the plugin keeps working and keeps recording sessions in your WordPress. Support is by email at hello@miruto.app.
10. Suspension
We may pause sending for a store, or suspend an account, if we reasonably believe that messages break the law or our policies, that the account is compromised, or that continuing would harm shoppers, other merchants or the service. We tell you the reason, unless the law does not allow it, and restore the service when the issue is fixed.
11. Term and ending
These terms apply while you use Miruto. You can stop at any time by disconnecting the store in the plugin or deleting the plugin, and you can ask us to close the account. We can end the service for you with 30 days’ notice, or at once for a serious breach. After the account is closed we delete the console data of your stores within 30 days, except data we must keep by law (for example invoices). Data in your own WordPress database stays with you.
12. Warranties
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, it is provided “as is”: we do not promise a specific number of recovered orders, that AI output is always correct or that the service is free of errors.
13. Liability
Neither party is liable for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or indirect damage. Our total liability for all claims in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid to us in those 12 months, or 100 euros if that is higher. These limits do not apply to damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, or where the law does not allow a limit.
14. Your messages
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact your shoppers and for the content you ask the agent to send. If a third party or an authority makes a claim against us because you contacted shoppers without a lawful basis or broke our policies, you compensate us for the resulting reasonable costs.
15. Changes
We may update these terms. For material changes we give at least 30 days’ notice by email or in the console. If you do not agree, you can stop using Miruto before the change applies. The current version is always on this page.
16. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Estonia. Disputes are settled first by negotiation and, if that fails, by Harju County Court in Tallinn.
